The new studios available for hire in Markfield Road

A new recording and audio-visual production studio has opened in Tottenham and is now available for hire on a day-to-day basis.

At the former home of Five Miles, a club venue which closed during the pandemic, Ten87 has repurposed the space in Markfield Road into a large-scale, “cutting-edge” tracking studio called ‘The Club’.

The 102 square metre space was designed with acoustician Nick Whittaker and features high, angled ceilings and “mathematically astute” acoustic dimensions. Rob Burn, founder of Ten87 Studios, said: “Seven years after opening our first long-term let studios in Markfield Road, we’re proud to open our first day hire studio, providing our existing members with an even more rounded offering. “We are also very excited to welcome the wider music community through our doors to start recording in this exceptional space.

“The Club’s audio-visual capabilities mean that live streams and recordings will be simple and efficient. They will also look and, most importantly, sound incredible. If you’re looking to ignite a fresh writing project, nail a mix, or capture a new sound, our brand new studio has all you need to level up your next record.”

Engineer Danny T said: “It’s so exciting that London’s getting a new room of this calibre. We’ve lost so many of these spaces in recent times and they really are essential for our culture and musical infrastructure. “I can’t wait to be a part of some of the records that come out of The Club.”
