Haringey Community Press is a free, independent, community newspaper which launched in November 2021. We publish monthly and distribute issues via community centres, pubs, cafes and directly to people’s doors.
Haringey Community Press marks a return to real local news, giving readers the chance to learn more about what’s going on in their area and to read (and write) stories about what matters to them.
We want to provide an opportunity for local people to contribute and raise important issues. We aim to reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Tottenham, to celebrate its rich traditions and cultural heritage as well as offering a platform from which to hold authority to account.
Here’s our team:

Our aim is to promote the work of local community organisations and voluntary sector groups, along with arts and cultural activities taking place in Tottenham. We are a not-for-profit newspaper, written by and for local people. Most of our funding comes from local advertisers, while we also receive money from our membership scheme. All income is spent on making and improving Tottenham Community Press.
We are always looking for writers, photographers, local advertisers and anyone who wants to offer their support. Please get in touch with us at [email protected]

We are proud that we were at the forefront of reporting on the recent local elections. We can’t do this without the support of our readers.
Independent news outlets like ours – reporting for the community without rich backers – are under threat of closure, turning British towns into news deserts.
If our coverage has helped you understand our community a little bit better, please consider supporting us with a monthly, yearly or one-off donation.
Haringey Community Press is partly supported by displaying online advertisements to our visitors. If you value our news stories, supporting us in another way helps us to continue publishing the news you love.
