A body has been recovered from the water at Tottenham Lock
A man’s body has been found in the water at Tottenham Lock.
Police officers were called to reports of a body in the River Lea at 9:35 am on Thursday, 18th August.
Police officers, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade arrived at the scene and established a crime scene. The body was recovered from the water.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At this time the man’s death is being treated as unexpected and the circumstances are under investigation.
“A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
“Officers believe they know the identity of the man and enquiries are underway to notify next of kin.”
