Teen stabbed to death in Tottenham

An urgent investigation has been launched following a fatal stabbing in Tottenham.

Police were called at around 5.30pm on Friday, 30th September, to a disturbance in Tottenham High Road.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service colleagues. They found a male, believed to be aged in his late teens, suffering stab injuries. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he died a short time later.

Enquiries are ongoing to ensure that the victim’s family have been informed. They will be supported by specialist officers. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

An urgent investigation has been launched. There has been no arrest at this stage.

A police statement said: “Communities have a vital role to play in tackling violent crime and we urge anyone who may have information to tell us, so that we can tackle violence together. We need information about crime or those who carry a weapon, or those that exploit people for gain or revenge, while putting young people’s lives at risk.”
