Three Haringey men charged after police probe into fatal shooting

The three men are among four charged in connection with fatal shooting in Hackney last year

Met detectives investigating a fatal shooting in Hackney in 2025 have charged four men and one boy with a range of offences, including murder.

Erdal Ozmen, aged 45, was killed in Dynevor Road, Stoke Newington in the early hours on Tuesday, 5th August 2025.

The individuals were charged yesterday (Thursday 2nd).

Sebastian Baah Achemfour, aged 19 and of Newland Road, Hornsey, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm.

Omar Mohammed, aged 22 and of Gospatrick Road, Tottenham, has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm and perverting the course of justice.

Darian Thompson-Cox, aged 28 and of Raleigh Road, Hornsey, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Kalel Chen-Miller, aged 23 and of Wolseley Road, Wealdstone, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

A 16-year-old boy has also been charged with perverting the course of justice. He cannot be named due to his age.

On Tuesday, 5th August 2025, police were called at 00:18am to reports of gunshots heard in Dynevor Road, Stoke Newington.

Officers arrived and found a 45-year-old man, who was suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A murder investigation was immediately launched and detectives have been pursuing several lines of enquiry. Erdal’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
