Urgent maintenance work at the station began last night

Urgent repairs of the footbridge at Harringay Station are underway.
Engineers arrived at the site yesterday evening (Tuesday, 24th January). The bridge, which connects passengers to platform 2, has been closed since Sunday evening for safety reasons, awaiting crucial maintenance work.
Services travelling towards Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage are currently not calling at Harringay Station and the platform will remain closed until engineers have completed sufficient strengthening work.
Network Rail have advised that passengers looking to travel to Harringay from central London should travel instead to Hornsey and catch a London-bound bus to Harringay.
The rail provider have also recommended that passengers travelling towards Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage from Harringay should instead board a train to Finsbury Park and change there for a service back towards Welwyn Garden City or Stevenage.
Harringay Station will close between 10pm and 6am this evening while work takes place.
Paul Rutter, east coast route director for network rail, said: “We’re really sorry for the disruption which this will cause over the coming days. Our teams are working to carry out these repairs as quickly as possible, so that trains can once more call at Platform 2.
“Passengers planning to travel should check their journey via National Rail Enquiries or with their train operator before setting off and allow some extra time.”
