The assault is believed to have been racially motivated

A Jewish woman was assaulted in the street near Seven Sisters Station earlier this week.
The woman, who was carrying her baby, was allegedly “strangled” while she walked near the tube station around midday on Tuesday, 7th February.
The incident is believed to have been an anti-semitic attack. Police were called to the scene at 12.57pm. A 32-year-old man has been arrested by police on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
The Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12.57pm on Tuesday, 5 February, to reports of an assault in Seven Sisters Road, N15. Officers attended and were assisted by Shomrim volunteers. It was reported that a woman was assaulted by a man.
“The woman, aged in her 50s, did not require hospital treatment. A 32-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody at an east London police station.
“Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 3319/07Feb.”
