A new study suggests that 22.28% of Haringey’s population live with a mental health disorder

A new study suggests that Haringey’s mental health is among the worst in the UK.
The Now Patient analysis of UK clinical commissioning group data found that Haringey ranked eighth out of all UK areas for numbers living with poor mental health, with the percentage of the population living with a mental health disorder at 22.28%.
This is only 1.76% lower than the highest ranking area, NHS City and Hackney, which had a percentage of 24.04%.
The study took into account depression and anxiety conditions, average wait times for treatment, the number of referrals in each area, the areas with the most anti-depressants prescribed by GP practices and the UK areas searching the most for mental health-related questions.
