Third man charged with murder of teen in Tottenham

Tyler McDermott was killed in a fatal shooting last week on Norman Road

A third man has been charged with murder in connection with an investigation into a fatal shooting in Tottenham.

Tyler McDermott was fatally wounded in a shooting on Norman Road which took place in the early hours of Thursday, 13th April, with police called at approximately 4.20am. 

Police and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene, where McDermott was found suffering from gunshot injuries. He was taken to hospital but died in the afternoon of Friday, 14th.

Tyrese Matthews, 20, of Black Prince Road was charged on Wednesday, 19th April. He appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on the same day.

Two other men – Tyrese Barnett, 19, of no fixed address and Leo Reid, also 19, of Tulse Hill – were charged with murder on Sunday, 16th April. Details of the next hearing are yet to be announced.
