The poll to elect a new councillor for the ward will be held later this month, reports Simon Allin, Local Democracy Reporter

Candidates have been announced for a by-election that is set to take place in Haringey later this month.
The poll to elect a new councillor for Hermitage and Gardens ward will be held on Thursday, 29th June.
It follows the death of councillor Julie Davies, who represented the ward from May last year until she passed away in April. The Labour cabinet member had previously served as councillor for St Ann’s ward between 2018 and 2022.
The list of candidates for the upcoming by-election is as follows:
Amelia Allao – Christian Peoples Alliance
Chris Brosnan – Conservative and Unionist Party
Paul Dennison – Liberal Democrats
Alfred Jahn – Green Party
Anna Lawton – Labour Party
Haringey currently has 48 Labour and seven Liberal Democrat councillors, with one independent member and one vacant seat. Labour won large majorities in the Hermitage and Gardens ward during the local election that took place in May last year.
The deadline to register to vote in the poll is Tuesday, 13th June, while applications to vote by post must reach the council by 5pm on 14th June.
Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on the day of the election, and voters will be required to show an approved form of photographic identification in line with new rules that took effect last month.
