Robin Thakooree of Drs Annexe Care Home said the award is ‘a testament to our dedication and commitment to making a positive impact in the field of mental health’

A Tottenham resident has been given a national award for his work in social care.
Robin Thakooree, who works as manager at the Drs Annexe Care Home in Tottenham, was given the ‘national star’ of social care award on Saturday, 17th June in a ceremony presented by ITV presenter Josie Gibson.
Robin said: “This accolade not only represents personal recognition but also acknowledges the collective efforts of the entire team working tirelessly to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individual in our community.”
Drs Annexe Care Home works to provide support to patients with mental health disorders and learning disabilities. The award was presented to a care home in the mental health special category.
Robin added: “First it is an incredible achievement and a testament to our dedication and commitment to making a positive impact in the field of mental health. Winning such an award is a recognition of the exceptional work and the difference we have made in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health challenges.
“Overall, our work in the mental health category of social care has been exemplary. Our passion, innovation, and commitment to improving the lives of individuals with mental health challenges are truly inspiring. To be recognition as a national award winner in this category is well-deserved, and it serves as a motivation for others in the field to strive for excellence.
