Murder investigation after man fatally shot in Tottenham

The victim, not yet identified, was shot on White Hart Lane last night

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was fatally shot in Tottenham.

Police were called to White Hart Lane, N17, soon after 11.30pm on Sunday (30th July) to reports of a shooting, finding a man in his 30s with gunshot wounds. 

Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS). The man died at the scene. 

Officers have said they ‘believe they know who the deceased is’ and are working to inform his next of kin. Formal identification and a post-mortem examination are yet to be held.

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist crime team are investigating.

A crime scene has been put in place, while no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
