Appeal to identify pair in connection with Tyler McDermott murder

Images of a man and woman have been released in connection with the fatal shooting of Tyler in April

Metropolitan Police have issued an appeal to identify a man and woman wanted in connection with the murder of Tyler McDermott.

Tyler, aged 17, was fatally shot in Norman Road on 13th April and died in hospital the following day.

Eight people were charged in connection with the murder in May.

Detective chief inspector Neil John, leading the investigation, said: “Since the day Tyler was killed, we have been using all of the resources we have available to find those responsible for his death.

“We are very keen to speak to the man and woman pictured and would ask anyone who can identify them or provide details of their whereabouts to come forward and speak to us immediately.

“Tyler’s family are understandably bereft at the loss of their much loved son and brother and we are asking for the public’s help in getting them the justice they deserve.”

Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 883/13Apr.
