Vehicle in Green Lanes set alight

West Green Road was closed to vehicles

A vehicle fire last night (14th December) caused closures of West Green Road.

The incident is believed to have taken place near Vincent Road, where a fire broke out at approximately 5.30pm. London Fire Brigade attended the scene, and the fire was extinguished by 5.55pm.

A fire engine from Stoke Newington Fire Station attended the scene.

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 15 calls about the fire.

The vehicle was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The incident is now resolved and West Green Road has been reopened.
