A Haringey man has appeared in court today (2nd February) charged with the murder of a man in Hackney.

Bamidele Fawehinmi of Clissold Close, Haringey, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 6th February.

Police attended an address in Lansdowne Drive, E8 at around 12.30am on Monday, 29th January following concerns for the welfare of the occupant.

On arrival officers found a deceased man inside the address. A post-mortem examination concluded that the man died as a result of injuries consistent with an assault.

A 41-year-old man arrested on 31st January was released with no further action.
