Four men travelling in the car which hit the pedestrian have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving

A man has died after being hit by a car in Tottenham in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called at 1.02am today (Sunday 12th) to a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Risley Avenue at the junction with The Roundway.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended, but despite their best efforts the pedestrian – a man aged in his 40s – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s family have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
Four men are believed to have been travelling in the car at the time of the collision. All have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They remain in police custody.
Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances. Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage or information that could help are asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 473/12may. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers.
