A foodbank in Hornsey is appealing for volunteers.

Gospel Centre Food Bank, based in Wrightman Road, is inviting people to join an “enthusiastic and committed team to make a difference to people’ lives”.

Gospel Centre Food Bank is looking to reinforce its existing team by taking on new volunteers who are available to help on Saturday mornings (up to twice a month) and potentially some Thursday early evenings with preparation work at the church building.

These roles require enthusiasm, reliability, able to work in a team and to follow guidance. Experience of working with vulnerable people would be helpful, though aptitude and willingness to learn is more important. There are opportunities within these roles to take up specialist duties, especially with our developing information and signposting service. An induction and support are provided.
