A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a man at Seven Sisters Station on Tuesday (23rd).

Officers were called at 8.48am to reports of a serious assault. Paramedics also attended and a man has been taken to hospital with injuries that are consistent with being stabbed. He remains in a life-threatening condition.

A woman, aged 18, and a girl, aged 15, remain in police custody arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. The 15-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of common assault.

Detectives are interested in speaking to two men seen leaving the station down the A10 towards South Tottenham Station, as they believe they have information that could help their investigation.

Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn said: “There is no place for violence on the rail network and detectives are working at pace to investigate the circumstances of this incident. Two people remain in custody following arrests made.

“The travelling public will see increased high-visibility patrols in the area and across the network as a visible reassurance. Any witnesses who are yet to get in touch, or anyone with information around the two men, is urged to contact British Transport Police via the online portal, by calling 0800 405040, or texting 61016, reference 171 of 23 July.”

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
