Haringey youngsters invited to train as fire cadets

Sessions at Tottenham Fire Station will begin in September

Teenagers in Haringey are being invited to apply to join the next programme for training young fire cadets in London.

The programme is open for 13-17 year olds as cadets and 18+ year olds as volunteer cadet instructors.

The sessions run on Tuesdays (term time) from 5.45pm–8.30pm at Tottenham Fire Station and include using real firefighting equipment, techniques, and “build confidence, teamwork and life skills”.

The skills learned at the sessions can also contribute to people’s Duke of Edinburgh Award.
