A new four-story headquarters for a building specialist is set for an industrial estate in Tottenham.

Having previously based its head offices in Hackney, Herts Heritage, a building and roofing specialist, is now set to replace a part one and two-storey industrial building named International House on Tariff Road.

The proposal from applicant FPF Holdings Ltd includes the demolition of the existing buildings, the development of the new four-storey warehouse and ancillary office space, an external scaffolding storage yard, and associated parking and landscaping.

Herts Heritage is a 21-year-old family run business based in London. The company recently completed work on a residential project in Newham.

The application explained the specialists provided “much-needed care and assistance to vulnerable residents” and worked closely with “local authority outreach programs and communal social projects”.

The proposed building will have a main entrance on Tariff Road; the ground floor will comprise of a reception space, storage space, a joinery workshop and ancillary staff wellness space, while the first floor will comprise flexible office space “to be sublet” or be used as “overflow space”.

The second and third floors include workspace, meeting rooms, a canteen and a roof terrace for employees.

Previously a three-storey building was put forward by the applicant at pre-application stage, however, in response to council officer feedback, the proposal has been amended to incorporate a fourth storey.

The applicant stated this was done “to increase the proposed floorspace” as this was a “strategic industrial location” and the “intensification of industrial use” was encouraged.

The target decision date on the plans is set for November.
