Residents are being invited to help shape what issues local councillors on Haringey Council’s scrutiny committee should look at over the next two years.

The council’s overview and scrutiny committee plays an important role in holding decision makers who are responsible for local public services to account as well as making recommendations on how improvements can be made.

The committee is currently in the process of developing its work plan for 2024/25 and 2025/26 and is consulting with residents and stakeholders on the issues that it should look at. The consultation includes an online questionnaire, which can be found here.

A special event – called a ‘scrutiny café’ – will help finalise the planning process. This will bring together a range of local stakeholders, voluntary, community and resident organisations and councillors to discuss the range of suggestions that have been made on the issues that the committee should look at.

The scrutiny café will take place on Friday, 20th September from 12pm until 4pm at The Engine Room in Lebus Street, Tottenham Hale.
