Lee Valley Regional Park rangers with their London In Bloom awards

Tottenham Marshes has been awarded the highest-possible ‘gold’ accolade from the prestigious London In Bloom Awards.

The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) site was judged the overall winner in its category, while four of LVRPA’s other open spaces received gold awards, which are based on an assessment of 85% or above.

Among the gold winners was Walthamstow Marshes and the Waterworks Centre Nature Reserve in Leyton.

Shaun Dawson, chief executive of LVRPA, said: “These awards are a fitting tribute to the staff and volunteers at the authority who work tirelessly to maintain these important sites.

“We’re thrilled to be recognised.”

London In Bloom recognises the efforts made by individuals and organisations across London to improve their local environment.
