All musicians and DJs need space. Music gets made in your head first, but not everyone has a garage, a home studio or understanding neighbours and housemates. It’s hard to make a banger with someone hammering on the wall or with a mic better suited to making zoom calls than capturing a vocal that speaks to the heart of millions. When you’re ready to go to the next level you need rehearsal and recording space that fits your schedule, fits your budget and fits how you want to work.
Pirate Studios Tottenham
Pirate Studios, five minutes from Seven Sisters Station, is ready when you are. Record, rehearse and DJ in a fresh, stylish creative space open 24 hours a day, whether you’re London’s best undiscovered diamond or want to polish stuff until it gleams.
From curious first timers to industry heavyweights, artists can book professional recording and rehearsal space online, by the hour.
Music isn’t just about technical stuff, though. If it takes a village to raise a child, as the proverb goes, it takes a community to grow a music career. Make use of Pirate Studios to get your sound sorted and your performance tight, then loosen up with the community of London creatives that Pirate brings together.
Says singer and songwriter Kaiya: “”Pirate has revolutionised networking and artistic growth for independent and emerging artists. The welcoming, community-focused environment is unlike anything else in bringing artists together.”
Since launching in Bristol in 2013 Pirate Studios has built a global community of over 400,000 artists using its 700 self-service DJ, recording, and rehearsal studios.
Their Tottenham location has:
- 10 rehearsal studios, with larger rooms for bands and smaller spaces for soloists and duos. Full backline, drums, mics and more included.
- 20 state-of-the-art recording studios, including pro studios with dedicated vocal booths.
- 14 private DJ studios with industry standard decks and mixers. All you need to bring are headphones and USB and you’re good to go.
- professional podcast studios with RØDECaster Pro units, high-quality microphones, and headphones ready for crystal clear takes on solos, dial-ins, group discussions or interviews.
Monthly Pirate hosts a range of events, including regular nights to show out new material, perform in front of new friends and fans and get seen and heard.
From October 2024, Pirate is moving their popular DJ Open Sessions from Dalston to Pirate Tottenham. The Open Sessions are a monthly party, where DJs can play a 15 minute back to back set. Everyone is welcome, no matter the genre, or level of expertise.
MIC and AUX are Pirate Studio’s intimate live gig events, usually hosted monthly at their Dalston location. Artists from across London can come down and share their new projects, play live in front of a crowd and network with other creatives. It’s a great place to test new music, get feedback and make new fans. The only thing you need to do is sign-up to get your slot and show up on the day.
Book a space, nail a take, make a connection, join a community. If there are sounds in your mind that the world needs to hear, Pirate Studios might just be you new 24 hour home.
