‘Action week’ to address local concerns from Hornsey residents

The council programme focuses on key issues adversely affecting the ward such as antisocial behaviour (ASB), housing repairs and parking enforcement

Hornsey High Street

Haringey Council is holding a “week of action” in Hornsey to help address people’s concerns about key local issues.

This week’s programme will focus on key issues adversely affecting the ward such as antisocial behaviour (ASB), housing repairs and management on nearby estates, licensing matters along the High Street and Tottenham Lane, plus parking enforcement.

The week of action involves key services across the borough, including the council’s ASB, community safety, environmental health, estate management, hate crime and prevent, housing repairs, licensing enforcement and parking teams, as well as other services such as community payback.

There will be a central engagement hub located inside the ward each weekday, giving opportunities for residents to discuss any issues or concerns they have with council staff.

Following resident feedback from previous week of action programmes elsewhere in Haringey, the council will also be organising the daily hubs at different locations and times throughout the week to give more residents the chance to engage.

The council hosts a different week of action in a different ward every two months. The next are scheduled to take place in St Ann’s (January), Alexandra Park (March) and Bounds Green (May).
