The facility in Russell Park was designed, funded and delivered by Noel Park Big Local and other community partners

A new playground in Noel Park has been officially opened.
The leader of Haringey Council and mayor Sue Jameson joined local residents to celebrate the launch of the new playground in Russell Park, which was designed, funded and delivered by Noel Park Big Local and other community partners.
Leader Peray Ahmet said: “This has been a wonderful community endeavour. Big thanks to the Noel Park Big Local, who have worked tirelessly to get this off the ground, and it will be enjoyed by children for many generations to come.
“This is the power of joint-working and collaboration here in Wood Green in Haringey.”
Euclides Montes, service director at Noel Park Big Local, said: “It has been a labour of love for our community. We spent four years from conception to being here opening today for families and it’s a great day for us.
“It was a lot of effort; it was a lot of work; it was a lot of sleepless nights for the community, but we are here now and it has been a really great opportunity to work together with Haringey Council and the other local partners to deliver capital works from the community from the ground up, so it’s a great day for us.
“Being able to see all these kids playing in the playground on such a lovely day is such great reward for all the work that we’ve done with the Noel Park Big Local as a community. Now, kids can celebrate, play and jump around in the new playground.”
