Summer gigs bring record numbers to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium by train, reports Raphael Henry

Tottenham’s White Hart Lane Station saw its “busiest days this decade” thanks to Beyoncé and Stray Kids concerts this summer, new Transport for London (TfL) data shows.
In June, the station saw 30,000 entries and exits in a single day thanks to American superstar Beyoncé’s record-breaking run of concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Part of her Cowboy Carter tour, the six-night run grossed over £45million in ticket sales and brought 275,000 music lovers to Tottenham.
A month later, footfall at the station peaked again at over 33,000 entries and exits in a single day, when platinum-certified K-pop band Stray Kids’ hosted their opening concert.
In 2024, White Hart Lane Station maintained an average footfall of 7,000 passengers a day.
Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan said: “This summer is proving once again that London is the undisputed global capital of music, with our world-class public transport system helping millions of Londoners and visitors make the most of the action.”
Other stations in the TfL network have also seen record footfall, with Wembley Park Station seeing over 131,000 entries and exits on each night of Oasis’ long-anticipated return to Wembley. Similarly, concerts by Robbie Williams, Sabrina Carpenter and Iron Maiden brought record crowds to Arsenal, Marble Arch and Stratford stations.
“These ridership figures show the vital role our transport network plays in bringing people together, boosting the economy and supporting jobs,” Khan added.
“From global superstars at sellout stadiums to rising stars at grassroots venues, I’m proud that London’s music scene is leading the way as we continue to build a better London for everyone.”
