Victim Sheryl Wilkins, 39, was found unresponsive in Tottenham High Road on a Sunday morning last month

A man has been charged with the murder of 39-year-old Sheryl Wilkins in Tottenham last month.
Simon Levy, aged 40 and of Beaufoy Road in Tottenham, appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 8th) charged with Sheryl’s murder. Levy is now due to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow (Wednesday 10th).
On Sunday, 24th August at around 7.30am, Sheryl was found unresponsive in Tottenham High Road, near the entrance to B&M. She was pronounced dead at the scene and a police investigation was launched.
Levy was arrested last Thursday (4th). While in police custody he was further arrested on suspicion of two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm and intentional strangulation relating to another victim. This victim, a woman aged 35, is currently receiving support from specialist officers. The arrest related to an incident that occurred in Tottenham High Road on Saturday, 25th January.
Levy was charged with all these offences, as well as the murder of Sheryl.
