Pepita Garcia, aged 74, was found dead in her home in Reynardson Road after being attacked

A man has been charged with murder and manslaughter as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of a woman in Tottenham last year.
On Monday, 13th January, police were called to Reynardson Road following concern for welfare of a woman inside an address.
Officers forced entry to the property and found a woman who had died. She was identified as 74-year-old Pepita Sarikecili, who was also known as Pepita Garcia.
Police launched an investigation and believe that Pepita had died the previous month.
A post mortem revealed her cause of death was blunt force trauma.

On Monday, 6th October, Whitton attended Wood Green Crown Court where he was further charged with murder and manslaughter in connection with Pepita’s death.
He entered a ‘not guilty’ plea to all charges and will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, 12th December.
