More regular trains set to serve Seven Sisters Station at peak times

Transport for London has amended its Weaver Line timetable to try to reduce congestion on the London Overground platforms at rush hour

Seven Sisters Station

A new timetable for a London Overground route through Haringey should reduce congestion at Seven Sisters Station during peak times, according to Transport for London (TfL).

The changes from Sunday, 14th December to the Weaver Line through Tottenham are designed to reduce crowding and improve punctuality on services to and from Enfield Town and Cheshunt during peak times.

By better aligning capacity with demand at Seven Sisters, the busiest station on the route, TfL says it will ease congestion on peak trains and lower the risk of delays.

However, the total number of rail services is not changing.

Customers are advised to check the new timetable before travelling to ensure they have the latest train times. Updated timetables will be available online at TfL.gov.uk, on the TfL Go app, and at stations from early December.

David Thomas, TfL’s head of concession for London Overground, said: “We’re making these changes to help customers travel more comfortably through one of the busiest parts of the network.

“By better matching capacity and demand at Seven Sisters, we can minimise crowding and improve reliability across the line. We encourage everyone to check the new timetable before travelling from 14th December.”
