The man police wish to speak to

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a violent robbery that occurred last summer in Tottenham.

Officers were called at 6am to Williamson Road on Thursday, 14th August following reports that a man had been beaten, stripped naked and robbed.

On arrival, officers found a 47-year-old man who reported being threatened at knifepoint by an unknown suspect at a cash machine. The victim was forced to withdraw money before being assaulted and stripped naked.

The suspect then stole all of the victim’s belongings.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged around 30, 5ft10ins tall, with dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a purple jacket, three-quarter length shorts, and dark Nike Air Max 95 trainers. He was carrying a green backpack, and had a pair of headphones around his neck.

DC David Medeck said: “We have released this image of a man we would like to speak to following this horrific robbery. Despite extensive efforts to trace him, we now need the public’s help.

“If you know or recognise this man, please contact us immediately.”

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting crime reference 1190/14AUG. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
