A teenager has been charged with the murder of a 15-year-old boy from Haringey.
Brayan David Saldarriaga was stabbed to death in Hackney on Monday, 25th May.
A 16-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, was charged on Friday (29th) with murder and with possession of a bladed article. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 30th May.
Police were called at 7.17pm on Monday 25th to reports of a large gathering, disorder and sightings of individuals in possession of machetes in Towpath Walk, Hackney Wick.
Officers attended, along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, and found Brayan with stab wounds in Poplar Close. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
His next-of-kin continue to receive support from specialist officers.
