The ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign allows people to share their views on how the newly-created NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board (ICB) “listens to and acts on feedback”

North Londoners are being invited to share how they want to be involved in decisions that affect them in the NHS.
Launching today and running for six weeks, the ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign will include surveys, workshops and opportunities to share views on how the newly-created NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board (ICB) “listens to and acts on feedback from local people”.
In April, following a merger of previous bodies covering the vast area, West and North London ICB became England’s largest NHS local primary care body, serving 4.5 million people across 13 London boroughs – in an effort to streamline services and reduce costs.
The enlarged ICB is now be responsible for planning around £12billion of spending every year on NHS primary care services across Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster boroughs.
Announcing the launch of the new consultation, the ICB’s interim chief executive officer, Katie Fisher, said: “This conversation comes at a vital time.
“Across our boroughs, depending on where you live and your background, there is a 17-year difference in the number of healthy years you can expect to live. This particularly impacts people living in our most deprived communities.
“We need to make changes, and we need to make decisions.
“Better decisions happen when people are involved. We want to make it easier for people to share their feedback and ideas about the NHS so that we can make improvements that will help them get fairer care and have better experiences”.
The online survey is now live, and open to all residents living in the 13 boroughs. Residents are also encouraged to join an online residents’ forum on Thursday, 9th July at 6pm.
