A man in his 20s was shot near Wood Green Underground Station
A man has died following a fatal shooting on Wood Green High Road.
Police confirmed that a man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot near the underground station at about 21:30 BST on Sunday. Police and paramedics administered first aid, but he died at the scene. The man has not yet been named and no arrests have been made. His next of kin have been informed.
Sunday’s fatal shooting marks the third in London this year, and comes less than 24 hours after 28-year-old Sam Brown was shot dead at a gathering in Cheney Row Park, Higham Hill. Another man, in his 30s, was stabbed at the gathering. He was arrested after being discharged from hospital and is now in police custody.
Meanwhile in Finsbury Park, a man is in life-threatening condition after being stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning. The victim, believed to be in his 40s, is yet to be named and no arrests have been made.
