Victim named in White Hart Lane shooting with no arrests yet made

Police are still trying to track down who killed 33-year-old Talip Guzel on Sunday night, reports Olivia Opara

Detectives investigating a fatal shooting in White Hart Lane have renewed their appeals for information after naming the victim as 33-year-old Talip Guzel.

On Sunday (30th July police were called at 11.30pm to White Hart Lane, at the junction with Pretoria Road, to reports of a shooting. Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) and upon arrival found Talip suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at the scene

Talip’s family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A post-mortem examination held at Haringey Mortuary gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams said: “We need to hear from anyone who was in the area of Pretoria Road last Sunday night and is yet to come forward.

“Talip’s family has been left devastated, and they need to know what happened.

“Did you see or hear anything suspicious? Did you capture the shooting on dashcam? Please contact us urgently.”

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
