Haringey’s architecture recognised in London awards

Harringay warehouses and Broadwater Farm are in the running for prizes, reports Olivia Opara

Five Haringey projects have been shortlisted for a London-wide award that celebrates building projects of varying scales. 

On Friday, 15th September, Haringey Council announced that five of its projects have been shortlisted for the New London Awards (NLA). The awards is an annual competition organised by an independent organisation focused on London’s built environment community, and supported by the mayor of London. 

Shortlisted projects are judged based on a sustainability, design and considered approach by an international panel of judges. The winning projects will be announced at the annual lunch, taking place in November at the Guildhall and including a three-course meal and official after party. 

The public can also vote for its favourite project with the most voted for winning the People’s Choice Award.

Rising Green Youth Centre – Culture 

Hale Wharf – Housing 

Broadwater Farm – Masterplans And Area Strategies

Harringay Warehouses – Mixed Use
