A man has been hospitalised after a fire in Tottenham over the weekend.

On Saturday, 23rd September, a fire broke out in a flat on Park Lane. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended the scene.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called at 10.19am and the fire was under control by 11.46am. Three people vacated the property before the brigade arrived, and one man was taken to hospital.

The brigade say half of a four-roomed flat was destroyed.

A LFB spokesperson said: “Firefighters recommend that you have a look at our online home fire safety checker to make sure there are no hidden hazards in your home.

“The online tool will ask you a series of questions that will help us work out the level of risk in your home, or the home of someone you care for. It only takes a few minutes to get tailored advice to keep yourself and loved ones safe from fire.”

Fire crews from Edmonton, Walthamstow and Stoke Newington attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
