The visit came ahead of the national BBC Children in Need appeal day, reports Olivia Opara

BBC Children in Need’s Pudsey Bear paid a visit to a Tottenham primary school to “spread goodness” and raise funds for young people.
Students at Harris Primary Academy on Philip Lane were paid a surprise visit by BBC Children in Need’s Pudsey Bear ahead of its national appeal day, raising funds for children in need across the UK. The visit was organised by Fearne & Rosie jams as part of its partnership with the BBC Children in Need.
The national ‘Children in Need’ appeal day will take place on Friday, 17th November.
During the visit, students took part in a baking session, where they worked together in teams to make “Pudsey’s” strawberry jam cupcakes – with Pudsey Edition jams provided by Fearne & Rosie.
Tom Avery, vice principal at Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane, said that Pudsey’s visit put a smile on everyone’s faces.
He added: “The children were so excited to meet Pudsey, and they really enjoyed rolling up their sleeves and baking. We’re looking forward to the official BBC Children in Need appeal day on Friday, 17th November where we’ll be dressing up in spots, completing as many bear-pees across the week as possible, and holding a bake sale to help raise funds for children across the country.”
Fearne & Rosie founder Rachel Kettlewell said: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit Harris Philip Academy, and meet the wonderful school community there. I’m passionate about helping families eat a little healthier, that’s why I set up Fearne & Rosie.
“At a time when more and more families need help, our partnership with BBC Children in Need is an opportunity to provide additional support for vulnerable children across the country.”
