Hornsey man charged after threatening phone call to Mike Freer

A Hornsey man has been charged with malicious communications after allegedly making a threatening and abusive phone call to Mike Freer MP last week.

On Thursday, 1st February, police received a report from the office of Mike Freer MP that he had an abusive and threatening phone call the previous day.

An investigation was launched and James Phillips of Brampton Park Road, N22, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday, 6th February).

Phillips will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (7th February) charged with malicious communications. Phillips is also charged with assaulting an emergency services worker (police officer).
