Museum of Homelessness announces Finsbury Park opening date

The museum also shared details of its first opening season How to Survive the Apocalypse

The Museum of Homelessness (MoH) has announced the date that its Finsbury Park site will officially open to the public.

The site at the Manor House Lodge inside Finsbury Park is due to open on 24th May with a new season How to Survive the Apocalypse.

The museum team first moved into the site in October 2023, but until access has been restricted to members of the homeless community. They formally took over the site in 2022.

How to Survive the Apocalypse will be an immersive experience drawing on the MoH’s work over the past decade. The exhibition will be open two days a week.

Museum director Jess Turtle said: “People who have been through a lot already – our community – are often the best people to respond in an emergency. The museum’s community-driven work in the last ten years has shown this over and over again. The answers don’t lie in Parliament, they lie here, with us, the people who come up with solutions on the ground and work together to get things done. It is this aspect of our culture that we want to share with our audience in How to Survive the Apocalypse and we can’t wait to welcome people into our world.”
