Leandro Kaienga will appear in court today charged with murder

A man will appear in court today (Wednesday 24th) charged with the murder of Okechukwu Iweha in Tottenham.
Leandro Kaienga, aged 28 and of no fixed abode, will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of 46-year-old Okechukwu Iweha. He was also charged with possession of a bladed article (knife).
Kaienga was arrested by detectives on Monday (22nd).
A murder investigation was launched after police were called at 5.51am on Sunday, 7th April to Worcester Avenue, at the junction with Northumberland Park near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, after a man was found unresponsive.
Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics. On arrival they found Okechukwu suffering stab injuries. CPR was administered but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Okechukwu’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
