British Transport Police has now launched a murder investigation
A murder investigation has been launched after a man has sadly died in hospital one week after being stabbed at Seven Sisters Station.
Officers were called to the Victoria Line station at 8.48am on Tuesday, 23rd July to reports of a serious assault. Paramedics also attended and a man in his 30s was found with life threatening injuries. Despite being treated in hospital for the past seven days, the man died this morning (Tuesday 30th) from his injuries.
Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn, from British Transport Police, said: “Sadly today we can confirm the victim has died in hospital following the attack and we have launched a murder investigation. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they navigate their loss, we continue to provide support through specialist officers.
“A 20-year-old man was previously charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon on 28th July. We are in touch with the Crown Prosecution Service following today’s sad update.
