Park Theatre was presented with The Stage Awards’ new ‘Campaign of the Year’ prize

A Finsbury Park theatre has won a new prize at a prestigious awards ceremony.
The Stage Awards celebrate British theatre and took place at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre in London on Monday (20th).
Park Theatre and Adam Blanshay Productions became the first to be honoured with a new prize presented for the first time at the ceremony, celebrating the ‘Campaign of the Year’.
The theatre’s campaign for the European premiere of Korean comedy-drama Kim’s Convenience was described as a “standout example” for reaching new audiences after almost selling out completely for its run.
Park Theatre’s sales and marketing director Dawn James said: “We are beyond excited to have become the first recipients of Campaign of the Year at The Stage Awards alongside our brilliant co-producing partner Adam Blanshay productions and the show’s PR representative Fourth Wall PR.
“Our campaign for Kim’s Convenience played to 98.8% capacity, with 53% of bookers making their first visit to Park Theatre. Taking inspiration from Ins Choi’s joyous, warm-hearted work, we aspired to create a campaign that was ambitious, inclusive, playful and far reaching. The production saw multiple Park Theatre firsts, bringing with it Korean-language posters and our first captioned performance not in the English language.
“Kim’s Convenience is soon to embark on a national tour and we’re so proud to be part of the journey.”
