Detectives investigating the murder of Talip Guzel in Tottenham have charged two people as part of their investigation.

Jan Mercan, aged 23 and of Rushey Hill in Enfield, has been charged with murder and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Stanislava Kukusheva, aged 35 and of Compton Crescent in Tottenham, has been charged with perverting the course of justice; assisting an offender and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both are due to appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 31st).

The pair were arrested by detectives as part of an ongoing investigation into the killing of Talip Guzel, 33, who died after being shot at an address in White Hart Lane, Tottenham on 30th July 2023.

Talip’s family have been informed of the update.
