Killers Milumo Pedrinho and Kevin Nguyen stabbed victim Ervin Baraku to death as he tried to flee by running into the tube station

Two men have been convicted of the “senseless killing” of a man at Seven Sisters Station.
Kevin Nguyen, aged 21 and of Westerfield Road in Tottenham was today (Thursday 12th) found guilty of murder at Inner London Crown Court.
Milumo Pedrinho, aged 21 and of Stonebridge Road in Tottenham, previously pleaded guilty to murder at the same court on 24th April.
Both will be sentenced on Monday (16th).
The court heard how, on 23rd July 2024, Nguyen and Pedrinho were in the Seven Sisters area just before 9am when Nguyen had an altercation with the victim, 33-year-old Ervin Baraku, on the street.
Screaming and shouting could be heard as Ervin was chased into the station by Pedrinho, who could be seen with a large knife on CCTV, and was being followed by Nguyen.
Pedrinho and Nguyen chased Ervin who fell down the stairs, and Pedrinho stabbed him in the chest. Pedrinho and Nguyen then fled the station, while Ervin collapsed at the top of the stairs.
Paramedics quickly attended and took Ervin to hospital, however he sadly died as a result of his injuries a week later on 30 July.
Urgent enquiries were carried out by British Transport Police following the attack to identify those involved, and Nguyen was arrested the following day, with Pedrinho arrested a few days later on 27th July.
Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn said: “This was an absolutely senseless and tragic attack that resulted in a man losing his life.
“There is absolutely no place for violence on the railway network, so I am glad to see both Nguyen and Pedrinho will be put behind bars for their part in this brutal murder.
“While no prison sentence can ever make up for the loss of a loved one, I hope justice being served can bring Ervin’s family some peace after this horrific ordeal.”
