More than 1,000 people visited the inaugural ‘No Car Boot Sale’ at West Green Primary School last month with more events now planned

More than 1,000 people turned out for a first-of-its-kind market in Tottenham last month.
The inaugural ‘No Car Boot Sale‘ on Sunday, 22nd March, enjoyed strong footfall throughout the morning as over 30 sellers offered vintage clothing, furniture, records, toys and second-hand finds.
Seller pitches for the debut event sold out in just 24 hours, highlighting the strong early demand – with even greater interest expected for future dates.
Created as a “fresh, community-first take on the traditional car boot sale”, the event brought people together in a relaxed, community setting.
Claudia Corrigan, from the No Car Boot Sale event team, said: “We wanted to create something that felt easy, affordable and genuinely community-spirited – especially at a time when people are feeling the pressure of the cost of living. The turnout completely exceeded what we hoped for.
“Tottenham sometimes gets a bad reputation, but what we saw was the complete opposite – it’s full of friendly, supportive, fun and creative people. The atmosphere all morning was incredible, and that sense of community is so important right now.”
Alongside the stalls, visitors enjoyed fresh pastries from Be More Shirley, coffee from Techo Verde, and live music from local musician Belle Humble from Sunlight Sounds, adding to the “lively, neighbourhood feel”.

Conrad Feather, from Techo Verde Coffee, said: “I didn’t stop making coffee for three hours – we were constantly sending people off to get more milk. It felt great to be part of something that connects a Peruvian village growing coffee to protect their cloud forest home, with such a vibrant community spirit in Tottenham.”
As well as supporting small sellers and local businesses, the event also raised more than £1,000 for three local schools.
Johannah Crowley, from Be More Shirley, added: “We could have easily sold three times what we brought – our table was cleared by 11am. It just shows how much appetite there is for something like this locally.”
Following the success of the first event, organisers are planning a series of No Car Boot Sales across 2026, expected to run quarterly. The next event is planned for Sunday, 14th June, with demand for seller spaces already high.
