Camilo Palacio has been named as the victim of a fatal shooting in Wood Green

The victim of a fatal shooting in Wood Green has been named.

23-year-old Camilo Palacio was shot on Sunday, 24th July at 9:30pm. Camilo, who was from Enfield, was pronounced dead at the scene half an hour later.

This came less than 24 hours after the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Sam Brown in Walthamstow, and shortly after a stabbing in Finsbury Park, which has left the unnamed victim in a life-threatening condition.

No arrests have been made in the Wood Green case, and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective chief inspector Perry Benton, who is leading the investigation into Camilo’s shooting, said: “My officers are very keen to hear from anyone who can help us identify the person responsible for Camilo’s death.

“A young man’s life has been brutally ended on a public street and a family is now struggling to come to terms with their loss – if ever there was a time to break the wall of silence, this is it.

“If you have information, dash-cam or mobile phone footage relating to this murder, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, please do the right thing and get in touch.

“It doesn’t matter if you contact us in person or anonymously via Crimestoppers – but please share what you know.”
