The partnership grows out of the council’s commitment to becoming a ‘net zero’ borough by 2041

Haringey Council is inviting residents to take part in the first-ever meeting of the newly-launched Haringey Climate Partnership.

The new initiative aims to “foster collaboration” between the council and the community in tackling the climate emergency.

Haringey Climate Partnership grows out of the council’s commitment to becoming a ‘net zero’ borough by 2041. Achieving the goal will require action across all parts of the community and the partnership will act as a dedicated forum for residents, community groups, businesses and other local organisations to learn about the council’s climate change action plan, share ideas and projects and help develop joint solutions.

The kick-off meeting for the Haringey Climate Partnership will take place on Thursday, 16th May, at Green Rooms, 13-27 Station Road, Wood Green N22 6UW from 6.30pm-8.30pm.

Participants will be introduced to the partnership and its objectives, hear an overview of the council’s current climate actions and explore opportunities to get involved. There will also be interactive sessions to share motivations and existing projects, building connections for future collaboration.
