Eclectic music festival coming to Ally Pally this weekend

Gok Wan will be among well-known British DJs playing a wide range of different music genres, writes Kinga Plata, Local Democracy Reporter

Ally Pally will host a two day-music festival with a line-up of well known British DJs playing a wide range of different music genres.

The August Bank Holiday Weekend celebrations will include an outdoor rave presented by DJs Gok Wan on Saturday (24th) and Norman Jay the following day, Sunday (25th).

DJ Gok Wan is also a broadcaster and fashion consultant and will bring his feel-good party Isolation Nation to the Ally Pally Terrace, following his sell-out shows at venues such as the Roundhouse and Koko. The event will also feature special guest Smokin Jo, as well as Angel Lee, Leroy Fish and Mas Que Nada Bros.

In addition to Gok’s uplifting house music, the organiser also promises an afternoon and evening of dancing, street food and cocktails, all set against famous, London panoramic views.

The following day will belong to Norman Jay MBE who is returning to Ally Pally with his Good Times SoundSystem bus in tow for another open-air party. With the iconic red Routemaster bus stage set against Ally Pally’s panoramic London skyline, Norman and friends will take all the party-goers on a musical journey through house, rare groove, jazz, disco, hip-hop and drum and bass.

During the summer month of August, Ally Pally also organises ‘creativity camps’ for children and young people aged between seven and 18 and that take place on school holidays.

Tickets for this weekend are now on for sale via the Ally Pally website:
