“Vibrant evening” of music, culture, and community promised as part of Black History Month celebrations
A festival celebrating Afro-Caribbean culture in Wood Green will be taking place as part of Black History Month.
The Afro Culture Heritage Fest at Wood Green Library on 8th November will be a “vibrant evening” of music, culture, and community, showcasing a unique fusion of Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Latino rhythms.
This intergenerational event is designed to bring together people of all ages to enjoy the infectious energy of diverse musical traditions.
Wood Green Library will be transformed into a cultural hub, where the soulful beats of dancehall meet the spirited sounds of urban Latin music. The evening will feature live performances from young artists, highlighting both emerging talents and established figures from our community.
In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy Caribbean and Latin American cuisine from local food stands and explore handmade crafts from artisans at our craft stalls. It’s a night that promises unforgettable entertainment and a true celebration of the richness of Afro heritage.
The event takes place from 7pm-11pm and admission is free. For more information:
