Young people from a Haringey performing arts company will host an open mic night at the end of November.
Haringey Shed is inviting everyone to an open mic night of music, poetry, dance and drama at the Haringey Irish Centre in Pretoria Road, Tottenham, on Wednesday, 27th November.
Members of the young adults company group at Haringey Shed, aged 16 to 19, will be performing at the open mic night.
Entry is free, but attendees will be able to donate at the event to support the young people and the organisation.
Established in 2020, Haringey Shed is an inclusive performing arts organisation that provides children and young people to explore their talents through their different programmes, for all children with our without disabilities.
The organisation is located within proximity of the disadvantaged wards of Haringey, where people lack access to performing art facilities.
Young people aged seven to 19 enjoy a range of theatre performing, music making, choir and writing.
Haringey Shed’s youth forum group will also be hosting their ‘Feel the Jam’ showcase in December – an annual performance planned and curated by talented musicians, dancers and speakers aged 11 to 19. Tickets for Feel the Jam at the Haringey Irish Centre from 7pm on Tuesday, 3rd December, cost £5.
